Government auditing is an exciting and fulfilling career. The Division of Legislative Audit’s published reports are essential for maintaining transparency and improving accountability across the State of Alaska. We serve our community by helping improve government operations.
Auditors work together to ensure government agencies comply with state and federal laws, information is accurate, and agencies operate in an effective and efficient manner. Our office achieves this mission through the hard work of team members. Here are some of the things that DLA auditors like about their work:
“Learning new things and solving problems. No two days are exactly alike, which is great because it keeps work interesting, instead of doing the same thing every day.”
“Being able to learn about – and impact – all variety of State operations, programs, and departments.”
“We audit different departments and learn how different parts of state government function. I also think the reimbursement for CPA exam costs is a great feature. Plus we have a nice office space and a great view.”
